I think it’s the mark of a good writer to be able to write a character that I don’t agree with or sympathize with, and still make me love the book. It was hard to read about Finley’s decision making process, I may have yelled a little. But by now I trust Amy Daws to create a story that’s heartfelt, thoughtful, and sexy. I loved the care that was taken when writing Brody and Finley. We know them, love them; and I loved their fierce and funny love for each other. Watching them first meet in college (Becoming Us) and now trying to navigate adulthood while realizing all their dreams may never come true. There is a very serious thread that runs throughout this book, but the sweet and funny secondary characters kept this from being too maudlin. I’m not going to lie, after reading the epilogue of Becoming Us, I was afraid to read this one. But the author more than made up for the anguish by writing an amazing finale to Brody and Finley’s love story. I loved this book!Product details

Brody and Finley seem to have it all. Wonderful careers, supporting families, a love you only dream about. Only thing missing is a baby. Soon sexy Brit Liam comes into her life, making her feel things she hasn't felt in a long time. I had such high hopes after reading the 1st book in this series, but a few chapters in and I wanted to smack some sense into the leading female character! After forcing myself to read the rest of the book I could see why the author wrote the story the way she did, but it was hard to stick with it to get through the whiny parts. Definitely my least favorite of the series.
This is the conclusion of Brody and Finley’s story and what a story it is! I love it, but I still insisting in a baby for them. The doctor Finley that they could have a baby biologically theirs carried by surrogate. It will be their baby and what if turns out that their is more that one. A baby boy with Brody’s eyes and Baby girl with her smile and wit. Wouldn’t it be beautiful. You never know...
Oh where to beg I n? I laughed, I cried, and... I cried some more. Amy Daws has a way of making these characters insert themselves into to your brain. I couldn't stop reading after the first book. I fell hard for these characters and their story. Her writing was absolutely phenomenal and I love the books I've read by her. If you ever need a story to get your mind off your own life, this girls books can do that for you.
This is one that I gave up and purchased for the $3.99 that it cost because the way the first one ended I had to know what would happen next. Actually, I feel like I ended up liking this one a little more than I liked the first one! It still had a little story plot part that reminded me of the After series again, but I was still okay with that. I like that we get a happy ending for the characters, and I like that we get a look at the characters who book 3 will be about. Now while I'm eager to read about those characters, it won't be as immediate of a need to read it as it was with this one.
That was an incredibly emotional read. Wow. Just wow.
I liked pretty much everything about this story the characters, the storyline, the writing.
I loved Finley and Brody, but also all of the other characters. I think it would be cool if Liam got his own book; I'd definitely read it -)
I was impressed with the writing because it really got to me. It takes a lot for me to get tears in my eyes from reading a book, but there were some heartbreaking moments in A Broken Us, that made me tear up. And even though it May not have been rational, I still understood Finley. And just like in Becoming Us, Brody was amazing and just perfect, even though he went through hell.
I'm here with tears still wet on my cheeks!! This was a great ending to this rollercoaster ride of a story! This hard headed knock out Finley finally gets her HEA after her endless trail of boyfriends that come to a head with basketball star Jake who really just wants to be friends...and meets Brody. His jealousy really turned me off at first and I didn't think they would end up together. I kept thinking the next page Jake would be there and decide he doesn't have to be with an athlete after all!!! Book 2 in London was hilarious with Lezbo and Frank. I was dead!!! Best stuff. I need more of them!!
